WHAT FAMILIES SAY

Paul Allan Young is an attorney whose involvement in my custody-related matters has caused me serious concerns about conflicts of interest, professional boundaries, and the handling of my private information. He participated in litigation adverse to me and, as a result, had access to extensive personal and confidential information. He has also represented my son's father, which I believe creates additional concerns because of the overlapping custody matters and information involved. I have also raised concerns about alleged connections or involvement between Paul Young and counselor Jenny Caldwell Childress. Childress's actions, including a CPS report that became relevant to my custody litigation, have been the subject of separate disputes and complaints. Because Young and Childress have each had roles in matters affecting me, I believe any communications, professional relationships, shared information, or coordinated involvement between them should be independently examined rather than assumed to be improper without evidence. I have also reported concerns regarding what I consider excessively intrusive and harassing discovery associated with Young. During this broader period, I experienced significant privacy and identity-theft problems, including exposure of sensitive personal information and fraudulent use of my identity. I am not claiming that Young committed the identity theft without evidence establishing that connection, but I believe the timing, access to confidential information, and handling of discovery warrant scrutiny.
Paul Allan Young represents my ex-husband in the custody case. I allege that his conduct included excessive and harassing discovery requests that resulted in highly sensitive personal and financial information being produced or exposed during the litigation. Following the exposure of this information, I became a victim of identity theft, including fraudulent activity involving my personal information. I repeatedly raised concerns about the handling and disclosure of my private information and about Young's conduct during the litigation. I am also concerned that Young now represents court counselor Jenny Caldwell Childress, whose actions and CPS report played a significant role in the underlying custody dispute. I believe the discovery practices, exposure of my confidential information, subsequent identity theft, and overlapping representation warrant independent review. He has been reported multiple times to the Office of Professional Conduct.
