WHAT FAMILIES SAY
Attorney never met with child client made it clear she didn’t want to speak with child
Nancy Southworth doesn’t care about children. I’m my case she never spoke with my child she chose to not speak to the non custodial parent who is the mother on the Sunday before court hearings. Mrs Southworth communicated via text and email with the non custodial parent and did not seek information regarding the child’s experience. Mrs Southworth was made aware the child was being abused and failed to report this or advocate for the best interest. Mrs southworth filed repeated emergency hearings in favor of mother which ultimately resulted in mother removing the child from counseling her only place to try to speak about her abuse. And subsequently the child endured another year of abuse. Mrs Southworth is a disgrace to her role.
As my assigned attorney she didn’t meet with me in person due to living outside of the county she represented. She didn’t listen to my wishes or experiences and I was forced to continue seeing my abuser.
Stated safety concerns on child’s behalf but never met with child. Only one call late on a Sunday night. Recommended therapy with a therapist over an hour away from both parents and had ex parte communication with mother who only had weekend custody. More contact with mother than child.
