WHAT FAMILIES SAY
Ryanne Seyba was appointed as Guardian ad Litem in my case after being suggested by Father’s attorney. At the time, I did not object because I was unfamiliar with many of the dynamics of high-conflict family court litigation. My experience with Mrs. Seyba was overwhelmingly negative. I felt that she did not act in my child’s best interests and instead aligned herself with Father’s position throughout the proceedings. Among other things, I perceived her as attempting to reduce my role in my child’s life, questioning my mental and emotional stability, and supporting interventions that I believed were harmful to my son. She recommended reunification services and professionals, including Dr. Eric Reznik and FACES visitation center, whose involvement in our case I also viewed negatively. Over time, I came to believe that Mrs. Seyba had formed conclusions about me early in the case and interpreted subsequent events through that lens. I felt that concerns I raised were routinely dismissed, while Father’s allegations were given significant weight. As a result, I lost confidence in her neutrality and her ability to serve as an independent advocate for my child. My personal belief is that, had I not persistently challenged recommendations and advocated for myself, the outcome could have been significantly more damaging to my relationship with my son. My experience with Ms. Seyba left me feeling that she contributed to escalating the conflict rather than helping resolve it in a manner that genuinely prioritized the child’s welfare. I also know several other mothers, who had her on their case, and she also sided with fathers, and played against the mothers, and most definitely NOT in the children’s interest.
In my experience, Guardian ad Litem Ryanne Sebya did not adequately address my repeated concerns regarding missed FaceTime calls and alleged parenting plan violations, which left me feeling that my relationship with my children was not being properly protected
Lie after lie.. then put an order on me so I couldn't tell my truth
Loaded with bias in favor of a father with a proven track record of domestic violence. Sided with Dr. Brittany Love, dismissed litigation abuse as high conflict, allowed harassment to take place by Nicole Vette, attorney. She hasn’t even interviewed my collateral witnesses yet- it’s been 2 years since she interviewed their father’s witnesses just to exonerate him. Ignored and minimized all of my concerns and the issues with my children.
The court system has taken a survivor of domestic violence and has punished her and her children for seeking relief from the very person who harmed them. (Broward County, FL — FMCE 20-3810). My lawyer admitted to being personal friends with the GAL Ryanne Seyba. The GAL mentioned being friends with our first family therapist, Dr. Brittany Love. Litigation abuse and harassment with smear campaigns used. Ex husband with documented history of domestic violence reached out to old ex-boyfriends and even to court-ordered family therapists.
