WHAT FAMILIES SAY

Dr. Shapiro seems like a good man with a good heart. He has good insight, and did point out some things in me that are clear growth opportunities while calling me a good father. With that said, it does not seem that he reviews all evidence or speaks to all witnesses before making his decision. My ex is the most manipulative person I have ever met, and her test scored in the range where it flagged that she may be trying to beat the test. Because she is successful in her life outside family court and our coparenting relationship, she was given the benefit of the doubt in a way I wasn't. Isn't that literally where Netflix specials come from? "They seemed so normal, charming, and successful. Who knew what was really going on?" I feel a little betrayed by the system because that is exactly the sort of person you hire a psychological evaluator to catch, and he was SO close. But - I cannot overly fault him because someone who is a master manipulator has learned to evade detection. Good man, kind mannerisms, but if you are dealing with someone who seems like a psychopath trying to triangulate the legal system against you, he may fall for it and not be your best ally.
