WHAT FAMILIES SAY
Shannon Prescott is the Guardian ad Litem appointed in my ongoing divorce and custody case in Okmulgee County. We had our initial meetings, but since then she has been extremely difficult to reach, and communication has been very limited. I have raised concerns involving my children’s well-being, their wishes, and issues affecting them throughout this process, but I have yet to see any meaningful results or indication that their voices are truly being heard. I understand that investigations take time, but the purpose of appointing a Guardian ad Litem is to ensure the children’s best interests are represented. At this point, I feel like their concerns are getting lost in the legal process, and I am left questioning whether their wishes and experiences are being adequately considered.
Only met with her briefly once and acted like she had already made her decision. Send numerous emails questioning me about allegations my ex had made but did not follow up with any of my concerns
Refused to interview any of my witnesses, won't speak to the kids she's supposed to represent, lied in the report and to the psych evaluator about the 15 minute interview we had, delayed court from July to Sept as she wasn't available to meet with the kids until then, never actually met with my kids until they were taken in the ex parte
